John Datoy is a Filipino engineer, world yo-yo champion, and comedian from Nashville, TN, with roots in Fargo, ND. His tricks and jokes have been seen opening for comics such as Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly), Jared Freid (Netflix), Dustin Nickerson (Netflix by Kevin Hart), Aaron Weber (Nateland Podcast, CC, Don’t Tell) and many others.
Recently Datoy recorded 6 sets with Nate Bargatze’s NateLand Production, which will be available on Sirius XM this next Spring. He is a regular at Zanies – Nashville, one of the top clubs in the nation, and was a selected performer for 7 Comedy Festivals in the last 2 years.
Now the yo-yo: Datoy is the youngest World yo-yo Champion, having accomplished that feat at the young age of 11-years old. He has performed on America’s Got Talent, where he was a top-100 performer, and continues to entertain comedy clubs, theaters, schools, elderly communities, and churches across the nation.
